In 1987, Austin originated and remains the site for&nbsp;South by Southwest&nbsp;(stylized as SXSW and colloquially referred to as&nbsp;South By), an annual conglomeration of parallel&nbsp;film,&nbsp;interactive media, and&nbsp;music festivals&nbsp;and&nbsp;conferences that take place in mid-March. Emerging from a strong economic focus on government and education, since the 1990s, Austin has become a center for technology and business. A number of&nbsp;Fortune 500&nbsp;companies have headquarters or regional offices in Austin, including&nbsp;3M,&nbsp;Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

Barton Creek is a census-designated place (CDP) in Travis County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the CDP population was 3,077. Barton Creek is ranked second in Texas based on per capita income. As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,589 people, 707 households, and 509 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 296.4 people per square mile (114.5/km2). There were 754 housing units at an average density of 140.6/sq mi (54.3/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.20% White, 2.39% African American, 0.19% Native American, 2.77% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.50% from other races, and 0.88% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.71% of the population. There were 707 households, out of which 22.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.6% were married couples living together, 3.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.0% were non-families. 22.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 1.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.25 and the average family size was 2.63. In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 17.6% under the age of 18, 4.3% from 18 to 24, 29.5% from 25 to 44, 40.1% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females, there were 100.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.7 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $158,623, and the median income for a family was $172,909. Males had a median income of $100,000 versus $44,716 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $110,504. About 1.3% of families and 3.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen or sixty-five or over.

Bordering Lady Bird Lake, the Barton Hills area is a top destination for outdoor recreation. 350-acre Zilker Park features a spring-fed pool called Barton Springs, plus botanical gardens, a sculpture garden and athletic fields. It also plays host to the annual Austin City Limits Music Festival. The Barton Creek Greenbelt offers miles of rugged hiking and biking trails as well as seasonal swimming holes.
Barton Hills&nbsp;is a neighborhood in&nbsp;Austin,&nbsp;Texas. It is located in south Austin, and encompasses part of&nbsp;ZIP code 78704. Barton Hills is bounded by&nbsp;South Lamar&nbsp;and&nbsp;Zilker&nbsp;neighborhoods to the east, Barton Springs Road and&nbsp;Zilker Park&nbsp;to the north, Barton Creek and the&nbsp;Spyglass-Barton's Bluff&nbsp;neighborhood to the west and the&nbsp;Capital of Texas Highway to the south. Barton Hills is primarily residential, with the oldest homes dating back to the 1940s. Additionally, the area is home to several attractions including the Barton Creek Greenbelt nature preserve and the&nbsp;Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum. Just north of the neighborhood are&nbsp;Barton Springs Pool, a natural spring fed by Barton Creek, and the 351-acre Zilker Park.
According to data from the&nbsp;U.S. Census Bureau, the population of the area defined as Barton Hills was 7,993 in 2009, across an area of 3.199 square miles. The population density per square miles is 2,499, just below the citywide average of 2,610 people per square mile. The racial breakdown is 80% white, 12% Hispanic/Latino, 4% Asian/Pacific Island, 2% black and 2% other. Median household income in 2009 was $51,930, slightly above the median household income for the city at large. The average estimated value of detached houses in 2009 was $395,682, notably higher than the citywide average of $286,025.

Barton Hills

Bastrop is a city and the county seat of Bastrop County, Texas, United States. Located about 30 mi southeast of Austin, it is part of the Greater Austin metropolitan area. The population was 7,218 according to the 2010 census.
Spanish soldiers lived temporarily at the current site of Bastrop as early as 1804, when a fort was established where the&nbsp;Old San Antonio Road&nbsp;crossed the Colorado River and named&nbsp;Puesta del Colorado. Bastrop's namesake,&nbsp;Felipe Enrique Neri, Baron de Bastrop, was a commoner named Philip Hendrik Nering Bogel, who was wanted for&nbsp;embezzlement&nbsp;in his native country of the&nbsp;Netherlands. In Texas, he assisted&nbsp;Moses&nbsp;and&nbsp;Stephen F. Austin&nbsp;in obtaining land grants in Texas and served as Austin's land commissioner. In 1827, Austin located about 100 families in an area adjacent to his earlier Mexican contracts. Austin arranged for Mexican officials to name a new town there after the baron who died the same year.
Bastrop is located near the center of Bastrop County along the lower&nbsp;Colorado River. The downtown business district of the city is located on a bluff on the east bank of the river, but the city extends to the west side of the river, as well. According to the&nbsp;United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 9.1 square miles (23.6&nbsp;km2), of which 9.0&nbsp;sq&nbsp;mi (23.3&nbsp;km2) are land and 0.12 square miles (0.3&nbsp;km2), or 1.23%, is covered by water. Three miles (5&nbsp;km) northeast of the town,&nbsp;Lake Bastrop&nbsp;is a 906-acre (3.67&nbsp;km2) reservoir on Spicer Creek operated by the&nbsp;Lower Colorado River Authority&nbsp;(LCRA) since its impounding in 1964. Although primarily used as a cooling pond for the&nbsp;Sim Gideon Power Plant, the lake is also used for recreation, and the LCRA maintains two public parks on the lake.

Bastrop

The city of Bee Cave is served by the Lake Travis Independent School District. Three elementary schools, Bee Cave Elementary School in Bee Cave, Lake Pointe Elementary School in an unincorporated area, and Lakeway Elementary School in Lakeway, serve Bee Cave and sections of Lakeway. Lake Travis Middle School and Bee Cave Middle School serve most of Bee Cave while Hudson Bend Middle School serves portions to the northwest; both schools are in unincorporated areas. Lake Travis High School, in an unincorporated area, serves all of Bee Cave. Lake Travis Middle School served the entirety of Bee Cave until 2019 when Bee Cave Middle School began operations. It is now served both schools. Eanes Independent School District and Westlake High School (Texas) are also in the area but do not serve Bee Cave.
As of the&nbsp;census&nbsp;of 2020, there were 9144 people and 4044 households in the city. The&nbsp;population density&nbsp;was 252.0 people per square mile (97.4/km2). There were 4044 housing units at an average density of 94.5 per square mile (36.5/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 69.6%&nbsp;White, 2.8%&nbsp;Black, 0.2%&nbsp;Native American, 13.1%&nbsp;Asian, 3.4% from&nbsp;other races, and 10.9% from two or more races.&nbsp;Hispanic&nbsp;or&nbsp;Latino&nbsp;of any race were 12.8% of the population.
There were 207 households, out of which 50.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.7% were&nbsp;married couples living together, 2.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.9% were non-families. 9.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 2.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.17 and the average family size was 3.38. In the city, the population was spread out, with 33.1% under the age of 18, 3.8% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 5.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 108.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.2 males.
In 2015 the median income for a household in the city was $129,270, and the median house value was $597,091. Males had a median income of $100,000 versus $59,000 for females. The&nbsp;per capita income&nbsp;for the city was $53,911. None of the families and 2.7% of the population were living below the&nbsp;poverty line, including no under eighteens and none of those over 74.

Bee Cave

Located in the heart of Central Texas, Bell County offers a little bit of everything: small town charm, big city amenities, natural beauty, and a vibrant culture. Within our county are several popular tourist spots, including beautiful lakes, acres of park land, the Bell County Expo Center, and several historic museums and villages.
As of the&nbsp;census&nbsp;of 2010, 310,235 people, 114,035 households, and 80,449 families resided in the county. The&nbsp;population density&nbsp;was 295.2 people per square mile (87/km2). The 125,470 housing units averaged 88 per square&nbsp;mile (34/km2). The&nbsp;racial makeup&nbsp;of the county was 61.4% White, 21.5% Black, 0.8% Native American, 2.8% Asian, 0.8% Pacific Islander, and 5.0% from two or more races. About 21.6% of the population was Hispanic or Latino of any race; 14.9% were of Mexican, 3.6% were of Puerto Rican, 0.2% Cuban, and 0.2% were of&nbsp;Dominican&nbsp;descent.
Of the 85,507 households, 40.10% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.60% were married couples living together, 12.30% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.50% were not families. About 22.30% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.50% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.68 and the average family size was 3.14. As of the&nbsp;2010 census, about 3.6&nbsp;same-sex couples&nbsp;per 1,000 households were in the county.
In the county, the population was distributed as 28.90% under the age of 18, 13.40% from 18 to 24, 31.90% from 25 to 44, 17.00% from 45 to 64, and 8.80% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 29 years. For every 100 females, there were 100.80 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.30 males. The median income for a household in the county was $36,872, and for a family was $41,455. Males had a median income of $28,031 versus $22,364 for females. The&nbsp;per capita income&nbsp;for the county was $17,219. About 9.70% of families and 12.10% of the population were below the&nbsp;poverty line, including 16.30% of those under age 18 and 9.80% of those age 65 or over.

Bouldin Creek is a diverse, laid-back neighborhood in touch with the &ldquo;Keep Austin Weird&rdquo; vibe. Quirky shops mix with trendy cafes and old-school Mexican joints. There&rsquo;s also a thriving food trailer scene. A waterfront park, Auditorium Shores, features events at the Long Center for the Arts, plus skyline views and a Stevie Ray Vaughn memorial. Quaint residential areas have bungalows from the 1920s and &rsquo;30s. Bouldin Creek&nbsp;is a neighborhood in&nbsp;Austin, Texas, originally created at the turn of the 20th century. It features several historic homes remaining from that era and countless more from the period of rapid growth in the 1920s and 1930s that followed. Bouldin Creek is also diverse, with a variety of cultures, backgrounds, and architectural styles blending together.
Bouldin Creek is bordered by&nbsp;South Congress&nbsp;to the east, the&nbsp;Union Pacific&nbsp;railroad track to the west,&nbsp;Barton Springs&nbsp;to the north, and West Oltorf to the south. It includes two major commercial areas, South First and South Congress. Given its proximity to these areas, and to&nbsp;downtown Austin, the neighborhood has changed dramatically as result of&nbsp;gentrification.
The neighborhood has several local historical sites including the Victorian mansion&nbsp;Green Pastures, which once belonged to Austinite&nbsp;John Henry Faulk, and the St. Anne&nbsp;African Methodist Episcopal Church&nbsp;(originally constructed in 1916) on Newton Street. In the South First area, the Mexican bakeries, tattoo parlors, art galleries, and unusual shops reflect the changing ethnic and social identity of the neighborhood. Another integral part of the neighborhood is the&nbsp;Texas School for the Deaf. The campus occupies the entire area bounded by South Congress, Elizabeth Street, Barton Springs Road, and South First. Originally created in the mid-19th century, the school underwent a massive renovation and expansion during the early 1990s.

Bouldin

The town of Buda sprang up along the route of the International-Great Northern Railroad, which was extended from Austin to San Antonio in 1880. Buda bore the name of "Du Pre" from its birth in 1881 until the autumn of 1887, when postal officials became aware that another Texas town was also named Du Pre.
Cornelia Trimble platted the town of Du Pre on April 1, 1881, establishing streets and a 150-foot (46 m) wide "Reservation" between the lots and the railroad right of way, which allowed the railroad to place buildings on the parkland, including the depot that would become the lifeblood of the town over the next few decades. Several businesses sprang up, including the Carrington Hotel, which served meals to railroad travelers.
By the time Du Pre found a new name for itself, the Carrington hotel was known as the "Buda House". The "Dupre Notes" column of the Sept. 25, 1886, edition of the Hays County Times and Farmer's Journal notes that "The Buda House is one of the best hotels in the state. The polite and entertaining hostess, Mrs. Carrington, meets all with a courteous welcome." According to the town's oral tradition, "Buda" is a corruption of the Spanish word viuda, or "widow", referencing the widows who supposedly worked as cooks at the Carrington Hotel. Others suggest that like the town of Buda, Illinois, the town name is a nod to the exiles of the failed Hungarian Revolution of 1848 who settled in the area. Buda was incorporated in 1948. By the mid-1980s it had attracted a cement plant and some craft industry.

Burnet is a city in and the county seat of Burnet County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,987 at the 2010 census. Both the city and the county were named for David Gouverneur Burnet, the first president of the Republic of Texas.

Canyon Creek is a residential neighborhood located in far northwest Austin, Texas. The neighborhood is located in ZIP Code 78726 and is bordered by Farm To Market 2222 (FM2222) on the south, Ranch Road 620 North (RR620) on the west, Anderson Mill Road on the north, and a major headwater tributary of Bull Creek to the east as well as the Balcones Canyonland Preserve. The preserve gives the neighborhood of over 1300 homes a semi-rural feeling despite being less than four miles to major shopping and employment centers. The major bisecting road is Boulder Lane, which winds its way through the picturesque, upper-middle-class neighborhood of single-family homes.
Boulder Lane is a loop, and crosses RR620 in two places (north and south entrances). The neighborhood is approximately 5 miles from Lake Travis and Lake Austin. Ranch Road 620 runs into the new toll roads of State Highway 45 at Lakeline Mall. Fast ways to get downtown is by taking 620 to 183 and going south. Another fast route is taking 620 to 2222 and then onto 360 to the left or the right. Left will take you to Gateway Theater on 183 and right will take you out to southern Austin and that is also a good route to the airport and San Antonio.

Central Texas is a region in the U.S. state of Texas surrounding Austin and roughly bordered by San Saba to Bryan and San Marcos to Hillsboro. Central Texas overlaps with and includes part of the Texas Hill Country and corresponds to a physiographic section designation within the Edwards Plateau, in a geographic context. Central Texas includes the Austin&ndash;Round Rock, Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood, Bryan&ndash;College Station, and Waco metropolitan areas. The Austin&ndash;Round Rock and Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood areas are among the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the state. Some of the largest cities in the region are Austin, College Station, Killeen, Round Rock, and Waco. The largest U.S. Army installation in the country, Fort Hood, is located near Killeen.

Central Texas

Clarksville was established by James Clark, who moved to the area in 1833 and laid out a town site. When Red River County was organized in 1835, Clarksville was chosen as the county seat, beating out the community of La Grange (later named Madras). Isaac Smathers built one of the first houses, which was later owned by Charles DeMorse. The town was incorporated by an act of the Texas Congress in 1837, and within a few years it became an educational and agricultural center. In 1841, John W.P. McKenzie, a Methodist minister, retired from serving as a missionary and moved to a former plantation about 3 miles (4.8 km) SSW of Clarksville. Naming his new home Itinerant's Retreat, he soon began offering classes for boys who lived in the surrounding area. During that same year, 16 boys enrolled in classes in his home. There was more demand than he could accommodate in his home, so he had a log cabin to the plantation to serve as a more conventional school. As the enrollment grew, he added 3 large wooden buildings to serve as dormitories and opened the school to girls and boarding students.[b] By 1854, McKenzie College had 300 students and 9 faculty members participating in a 10-month school year. Before the American Civil War began, Rev. McKenzie's school was the largest institution of higher education in Texas during the 1850s, and trained almost all of the new Methodist ministers in the state. Although the school was always considered a Methodist institution, it actually continued to be owned by McKenzie. He tried to turn it over to the local Methodist Conference in 1855 and 1860, but each time the Conference declined to accept certain unspecified conditions, so the official transfer never occurred. By the fall of 1861, most of the male students had already enlisted in the Confederate Army. In 1863, the school had only 33 students. The average number rose to 74 during the years 1864&ndash;67. Unable to obtain sufficient financing to continue, Rev. McKenzie closed the school permanently on June 25, 1868. In 1844, Clarksville Female Academy opened, after moving from Pine Creek, where it was originally founded in 1840. A Clarksville post office opened in 1846, and by 1838 there was semiweekly mail service between Clarksville and Natchitoches, Louisiana. A frame courthouse was built in 1840, and replaced with a brick structure on the main square in 1850. A brick jail was built nearby in 1852. The First Presbyterian Church was organized in Shiloh, Gregg County, Texas in 1838, but relocated to Clarksville in 1844. The Texas State Historical Society says this is "...among the oldest continually operating Protestant churches in the state." The Texas State Historical Society also reports that Clarksville was the most important commercial center in this part of Texas from the late 1830s until the Civil War. Once the Red River proved navigable by steamboats, goods could be shipped directly from New Orleans to Rowland's Landing, 15 miles (24 km) north of Clarksville, then hauled overland by wagon. By the time the war broke out, the city had a population of about 900. Economic recovery from the Civil War was stimulated when the Texas and Pacific Railway reached Clarksville in 1872, bringing new settlers and new businesses. The 1870 census showed a population of 613.[c] By 1885, the population had grown to about 1,200. The city could then boast of a new limestone courthouse, five white and two black churches, a Catholic convent, three schools, two banks, two flour mills, and a weekly newspaper, the Clarksville Times. In 1914, the city had 3,000 residents and had added a waterworks, two newspapers, an ice plant, and an electric power plant. After that, outside events such as two world wars, the Great Depression, and increased competition from other cities (e.g., Dallas, Paris, Bonham, and Texarkana) had begun to slow Clarksville's growth.[5] As shown by the census table, the population in 2000 was very near to that in 1920.

Coryell County is a county located on the Edwards Plateau in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, its population was 75,388. The county seat is Gatesville. The county is named for James Coryell, a frontiersman and Texas Ranger who was killed by Comanche Indians while protecting settlers.

Del Valle is a suburb of Austin and part of the Austin&ndash;Round Rock&ndash;San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is an unincorporated area in southeastern Travis County, Texas, United States. It has no local government of its own and no official boundaries. But Austin has annexed portions, including the site of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in 1990. After that, most recently in 2013, the city added more Del Valle territory to the east (8 to 13 miles southeast of downtown Austin). The 2010 census estimated a population of 17,139.

for properties to view, and she got us in to see many homes in a very short period of time. Come the
time when we put an offer on the house, she was with us every step of the way, providing advice and

As of Oct 2018, I've utilized Rachel's services upon three different homes/transactions. The 3rd
home or deal is to sell our condo near Austin's Downtown area. While Rachel is quick to respond to
calls, texts and Emails she is also very consultative guiding buyers and sellers through the entire
realty process including but not limited to making introductions to loan officers, title companies,
home inspectors, and repair technicians. Lastly, while she posted our home for sale on the MLS she
also had it posted to 5 other websites and private investor only websites within 12 hours of signing
the listing agreement. Needless to say, Rachel is a hard worker and fabulous to work with!

Rachel was an absolute joy to work with and found the perfect house for Janet and I. There were
some changes that took place during the process (as there always is) which required Rachel to do a
good amount of coordinating with the listing agent which she handled beautifully. She even gave

pronouncing me as the Golffather . Now that's attention to detail! I would recommend Rachel to
